The big thing that sets us apart is "The Funnel Effect" we create for local businesses.
Many local customers visting the internet that may be distracted by and purchase from
businesses outside your town are funnelled back to local businesses.
One of the common concerns of local businesses is that the internet is going to take
their customers away.
You are the one that will help all your local businesses to become a united force,
a strong alliance, working to keep all the local customers for themselves!
You are not doing this by yourself, nor are your local businesses. This is a combined
effort from you, your salespeople/ambassadors, P.E.E.L. Inc., and all local
businesses that take a free or premium listing in your portal.
So how does this all work?
First, P.E.E.L. Inc. builds a local portal that will become the entrance
to the internet for all local residents that set it as their home page.
You then use the
automatic lead generator to contact all local
businesses. If you are inside the USA we have a list of leads for your
local businesses to contact.
As you visit each local business you explain that their participation with
the local portal will help to funnel local customers back to all local
businesses. Their participation is important with either a free listing
or a premium listing. You want all local businesses to participate.
You then ask each business to let you place a sticker on their front window
that says:
We support
www.ExploreGahanna.com
Free Local Classifieds
Free Local Business Listings
Of course you will change www.ExploreGahanna.com to be the domain that we give you for the
portal for your town.
Next, you let every business know they should log into the classifieds section of
the portal, create a free account, and then add a coupon onto the portal at no
extra cost to them. Then ask them to add to their advertisements that the
latest coupons can always be printed at the local portal. (They will put the domain
of your portal in the ad).
So now you have all the local businesses on board with you. Although many have
come on as free listings, probably 10% to 25% have decided to purchase a premium
listing for $1000.00 to $2500.00 per year.
This means that if your town has 2000 local businesses, (just ask me, I know how many you have),
then 200 to 500 purchased a local listing from you, generating $200,000.00 to
$1,000,000.00 in annual revenue for you.
All the local businesses that have purchased premium listings also get a website
with their own domain that is built automatically when you create their premium
listing. The premium listing is created with our easy templates, from button #3
on the "profit control panel".
To help complete the strong alliance of all local businesses to keep the local
customers local, they will advertise the free website, which we call the "power page",
in whatever advertising they are currently using.
You do not ask them to spend more money on their advertising, but to simply include
the domain name of their "power page" in their local radio, TV, flyers, mailers,
newspaper, or any advertising they are currently running.
On every "Power Page", which is a one page website with a domain name owned
by your business client, is a menu on the right side with links to the portal,
and a search engine for only local businesses.
So lets say that 200 local businesses have started adding the domain name
for their "Power Page" into their advertising. Now they are driving a lot
more traffic to the portal as a result.
As an example, lets say that "Joe's Bike Shop" has JoesBikeShop.com for
his power page. Joe currently advertises on mailers he does every month
to every home in town. Now Joe has added JoesBikeShop.com into the flyers
with a note, "Check out all the reasons to do business with us at JoesBikeShop.com".
By using the website, they can add a lot more features and save money on how
much printing or ad space they buy.
Then as people go to JoesBikeShop.com to look at why the should buy a bike from
Joe, they say, "You know, I am hungry. Let's get some pizza." They see the
search engine on JoesBikeShop.com for local businesses. They type in "pizza"
and they get "Angie's Pizza House".
They go to "Angie's Pizza House" premium listing, look at their menu, hours,
and click the map link for directions, and decide to go there for lunch.
What has just happened is that because "Joe's Bike Shop" has advertised their
"Power Page", "Angie's Pizza House" has just gained several new customers.
So what is in this for Joe? The same thing will happen for Joe as local customers
visit "Power Pages" of other businesses.
These local customers are all being funnelled back to local businesses.
As local residents see the sticker on the local business windows, as they see
the "Power Pages" in local advertising, as they look for coupons in the local
portal, they will also see the "Make us your home page" button in the upper right
side of the portal.
When they click there, they will see a page explaining all the benefits of making
our portal their home page. Once they do this, then anytime in the future when they
log onto the internet, the first website they come to will be the local portal.
From here, they can check the local weather, local news, local business listings and local classifieds.
The most important feature is that they can find local businesses.
With the combined effort of yourself, your salespeople/ambassadors, and the local
businesses, you can make this portal the home page for the majority of the local
residents.

Sales is a numbers game! Pick Your Numbers!
Please note that some of our portal directors with experience in sales get 25% of
the business owners they give a presentation to purchase a premium listing. If you
are new to sales the industry standard is normally 10%. This in no way guarantees
you will have these percentages, but some of our directors report 25% closing ratio
once a business owner has been given a full presentation.
