At the top right of the 10,000 pages in the local portal is a button to set the portal as your home page. Our goal is to have everyone in town do this. Then when anyone in your town first logs onto the internet the first thing they will see is the local portal. "Portal" means an entrance, it will be their entrance to the internet.
Our goal is to be the first entrance into the internet for every person that lives in
your town. We make this as easy as possible by providing a bright yellow link in the
upper right part of the portal. All a visitor needs to do is click it and it will
set the portal as their home page.
This sets their browser home page, so that everytime they open their browser
the local home town portal will come up. From there they can read local news,
articles, classifieds, and search for local business listings.
This one action alone can create more visitors and traffic to the portal
than all other techinques combined, as we will show in a pie chart later.

Please note that some of our portal directors with experience in sales get 25% of
the business owners they give a presentation to purchase a premium listing. If you
are new to sales the industry standard is normally 10%. This in no way guarantees
you will have these percentages, but some of our directors report 25% closing ratio
once a business owner has been given a full presentation.

Portal Director may sell advertising for Portal Director's assigned portal to any person, business, or area in the world. Portal Director understands that no other entity can sell premium listings for Portal Director's assigned portal without the permission of Portal Director. Portal Director understands that other Portal Directors may sell advertising to any person or business in the town with the same name as Portal Directors portal. Only one portal will be built per town. Portal director has control of assigned portal.
