When we were looking at the inside of the classified advertisements you saw
there were links from the username and graphics for the "Me Page."
This "Me Page" allows you to connect more personally with your prospective
buyers. In addition to being a local person, this really helps you to cut
thru the skepticism many people have buying thru the internet. Lets
look at the components of the "Me Page."

Username: The upper left is a Username of your choice. This can be your real name,
or it can be anything you like if you want to remain a little more anonymous, or
if you just wanted to be known as something else, such as "Mr. Santa" if you are
a professional actor that hires him/herself out on holidays as Santa Claus.

Unique Visits: This tells everyone visiting your "Me Page" how many actual people
have looked at it. This counts only people, not visits. If 100 people visit your
"Me Page" 30 times each, the counter will be 100 not 3000. This lets people know
how active you are in the local classifieds, and the interest level among other
local residents.

Total Ads: This tells how many ads you have posted on this portal since the
beginning of time, or that is to say, how many the particular user of this "Me Page" has.
This lets prospective buyers know if you have been around for a while and active,
or just getting started.

Referred: This number is how many people have recommended this particular
user's advertisements to friends. On the bottom of every advertisement is a form
that someone can notify a friend of that advertisement. When a person does
this it advances the "Referred" number by 1.
If the same person refers the same advertisement 10 times, it only will advance
the "Referred" number by 1. This keeps the count more honest, people will
know it is a more real number.

These are areas you can expand on about yourself on your "Me Page" that helps to
let people know more about you. The more people understand you the more they
will trust you, and do business with you.

Member Since: This tells people when you signed up as a member
of the classifieds. Many prospective buyers consider your length of time
as a member when adding up their personal trust profile of you.

Verified Local Business Members: You as the Portal Director, from your
Portal Director Administration area, can decide which members can have this
badge of honor on their "Me Page." If you click on that badge it takes you to
a website that says: "When you see the verified member logo on a "Me Page" that means that our local portal director or one of the staff has visited the business personally and verified they are legitimate and indeed a local brick and mortar business.
If you are a local business and would like to have the verification added to your "Me Page" you can do so by contacting the local portal director, information is below."
As the Portal Director you need to have either met with the business owner at their
place of business, or one of your staff, before deciding to add this badge to
the member's "About Me" page.
You can also choose to only give it to business owners that purchase a premium
business listing or power page or P.B.C. as a sign they are serious about
supporting the local portal and community.

Member IICC:
You as the Portal Director, from your
Portal Director Administration area, can decide which members can have the
International Internet Chamber of Commerce log added to the member's "Me Page." If you click on that logo it takes you to
the International Internet Chamber of Commerce (IICC) at InternationalInternetChamberofCommerce.org
Any business can join the IICC, which is a free membership, and is governed by it's members.
You can also choose to only give the logo to business owners that purchase a premium
business listing or power page or P.B.C. as a sign they are serious about
supporting the local portal and community.

Your Picture: You can add a picture of yourself on the main page, and one picture
for each of the additional pages under the Hobbies, Education, Philosophy, Family, and Contact Me Tabs.
This really helps you to connect more with your prospective customers.

Only one portal will be built per town. Portal director has control of assigned portal.
